NBC Tops Television Critics Association Awards
Not happy with the Emmys? The Television Critics Association is your awarding alternative. They handed out their annual awards Sunday night, and though there's still no love out there for "Battlestar Galactica", at least they had the sense to recognize "The Office".
In fact NBC was given four TCA awards, including Outstanding New Program of the Year, Outstanding Achievement in Comedy, Individual Achievement in Comedy, and the Heritage Award (which sounds like it has something to do with the Pilgrims and turkey but probably does not). Those four were enough to make NBC the year's top TCA winner, while ABC and PBS each garnered two apiece.
