Nashville Preview, A Featurette And How To Get Scarlett And Gunnar's Duet

ABC's new music-drama Nashville made its debut last night, introducing us to Connie Britton's Rayna James and Hayden Panettiere's Juliette Barnes, two country singers, one of which is on the rise and the other, trying to keep a grip on her career as it begins to slip. We have some post-episode goodies for you, including the preview for the season, and info on how to get that song Gunnar and Scarlett sang last night!

Beyond Rayna's attempts to stay on top, and Juliette's attempts to get there, there were a number of romantic arcs introduced during last night's episode. For example, Deacon is Rayna's former lover, but he's now having a thing with Juliette (and there appears to be more of that to come, based on the video below). He's also a song-writer, which is why he's around to begin with. And speaking of songwriters, there's also Scarlett, the young, beautiful and just-discovered singer-songwriter, whose boyfriend is Avery, an aspiring musician. But then there's Gunnar, another musician with his eye on Scarlett. It's just a matter of time before that blows up. There are hints of that in the video below!

I doubt I'm the only one who loved Scarlett and Gunnar's "If I Didn't Know Better" duet. You can purchase/download the full (3-minute) version of the song at here.

Here's that scene from the pilot:

Next up, we have a new featurette, which has the series creators talking about the series and the characters.

And, for those who want to see some photos from next week's episode, which airs October 17, here are some that show Juliette performing in the park - possibly shooting a music video?

Here's where you can watch the full pilot episode.

Nashville airs Wednesdays at 10:00 p.m. ET on ABC.
