Nashville Season Finale Clip Shows Juliette Falling Apart

Tonight, ABC will air the season finale of Nashville. The above clip from "I'll Never Get Out Of This World Alive" suggests that Juliette is on the verge of a meltdown. Unless what we're seeing is the worst the fallout for the young artist in the wake of her mother's death. Something tells me that's not the case. The timing couldn't be less perfect for all of this to happen, what with the CMA awards set to take place.

Of course, the timing always factored into this. After all, the whole reason Juliette was going along with Dante's blackmail was to avoid scandal ahead of the awards. Now that that's out of the question, how's she going to get through the CMA's while also grieving for her mother? From the clip, it looks like she's trying to keep it together, but just realized how bad the situation is. She's not just upset. She's angry. And given her history with her mother, that's not hard to understand. So we'll have to wait and see how all of this plays out in the season closer.

And based on the episode description, her mother's death isn't the only issue Juliette's dealing with. It sounds like there was a letter, which revealed Jolene's "true feelings"...

"I'll Never Get Out of This World Alive" - A shadow has been cast over country music's biggest night: Juliette discovers a letter from Jolene revealing her mother's true feelings; Rayna and Deacon's fairytale evening at the CMA Awards, even performing with Brad Paisley - who guest stars as himself -- may not end in a happily-ever-after; and Gunnar will do whatever it takes to win Scarlett's heart back -- but is it too late? Meanwhile the U.S. Attorney's office is closing in on Teddy, and Peggy returns with a secret of her own, on the Season Finale of "Nashville," WEDNESDAY, MAY 22 (10:00-11:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network. Kimberly Williams-Paisley and Chris Carmack also guest star.

It's not all about Juliette though. It sounds like things might not go so well for Rayna and Deacon. And Gunnar's trying to win Scarlett's heart back, but it might be too late. How will the first season of Nashville end? We'll find out tonight at 10:00 p.m. ET on ABC.
