Neil Patrick Harris Could Be Singing His Way To Glee
What do you get when you combine Joss Whedon, Neil Patrick Harris and Glee? I’m not entirely sure as we haven’t seen such a combination, however I’m pretty sure it would be something along the lines of a perfect storm of awesomeness.
Entainment Weekly’s Michael Ausiello reported late last night that Neil Patrick Harris (How I Met Your Mother) is nearing a deal to appear in Glee for a May sweeps episode. What’s more, if the deal goes through, he’ll be re-teaming up with Joss Whedon, who’s set to direct the episode. Harris and Whedon worked together for the popular and musically-hilarious webseries Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog, of which Harris starred (and showed off his musical chops).
According to Ausiello, Harris is game for the appearance and Glee creator Ryan Murphy wants to create a role especially for Harris. Harris on Glee seems almost too good to be true and it just might be if CBS isn’t down with letting one of their series stars work for a show on another episode. Let’s hope the network complies.
How I Met Your Mother benefited from Harris’ singing abilities already this year when the show’s 100th episode ended with Harris’ character Barney breaking out into song in celebration of his love of suits.
