The Newsroom Preview: New Trailer For Aaron Sorkin's Upcoming HBO Drama Series
The latest trailer for HBO's upcoming drama series The Newsroom is out, and once again, the tone is a mixture of intensity and humor as we see Jeff Daniels' character unleashing his frustration on his co-workers and aiming for change.
If my expectations were set high after the first Newsroom trailer was released, they've inched up a few notches with yet another fast-paced trailer to whet our appetites for what could be a truly great drama series. Check it out ahead.
Could Aaron Sorkin bring out the best in Jeff Daniels with The Newsroom? Like the first trailer, the above video certainly hints at that. And it seems like there will be at least some focus on how the younger generation views/receives the news and shares information, versus how things were in "the old days" and what people are looking for (and what they need) from their news organization. The concept is intriguing to say the least, and if the trailer is being honest in how this show is going to deliver on that, The Newsroom could prove to be great television.
The Newsroom premieres Sunday, June 24 on HBO.
