Nicole Scherzinger Rumored To Be Leaving The X Factor

Just a little while ago I was speculating on the possibility that The X Factor judge/mentor Nicole Scherzinger might not return for the second season of the U.S. version of the singing competition series, and now rumor has it, she’s decided not to come back to the show.
Earlier tonight we shared the news that Steve Jones tweeted word that he wouldn’t be returning to host The X Factor for second season either. Now E! Online is reporting that a source tells them Scherzinger won’t be back for Season 2. It sounds like the decision was hers...
"She wants to focus on her music career," a source said. "She's spoken to Simon [Cowell] and he's given her his blessing."
As this news comes from an unnamed source, it’s even less official than Jones’ Tweet, however, it’s not all that difficult to believe, considering how things went last season. Scherzinger seemed particularly emotional after forcing the judges’ vote to a tie, which inevitably led to America’s Vote determining the elimination of Rachel Crow.
Given the comments about her wanting to focus on her music career, that might mean that she won’t be looking to host the show, which was originally what she was supposed to be doing in Season 1.
?Assuming this news is true and Scherzinger is out, who will be brought in to replace her? Or will the producers consider cutting out the fourth judge entirely?
