Olympics Day 5 NBC Primetime Schedule Includes Swimming, Gymnastics And Diving
Have you had enough of Olympic swimming or gymnastics yet? If your answer is no, good, because there's more to come tonight on NBC in their Day 5 coverage of the Summer Olympic games in London. Last night, we saw the U.S. male swimmers dominate in the pool in the Men’s 4 x 200M Freestyle Relay. How will the women do in their relay? We'll find out tonight, as that's among the events set to be featured during NBC's primetime coverage.
Ryan Lochte, Conor Dwyer, Ricky Berens and Michael Phelps secured themselves a gold medal (Phelps' 19th!) in the 4 x 200M Freestyle Relay last night, and watching the race, it was surely a team eftort there, as each participating swimmer built and maintained the lead leading up to Phelps' anchor leg in the event, which he went on to finish with seconds to spare. Watch that event here.
The male swimmers weren't the only team-victory of the night. The women's gymnastic team also managed to secure some gold. Here they are seeing their final score and confirmation that they won the gold.
What will Day 5 have to offer? Here's what NBC has lined up to air during tonight's broadcast:

We've seen some great performances (and medal wins!) from Missy Franklin and Allison Schmitt in the pool, so I'm especially excited to see how they do when teamed up in the 4x200m freestyle relay!
Out of the pool, we have women's beach volleyball to look forward to and men's gymnastics, as John Orozco and Danell Leyva go up against Japanese triple world champion Kohei Uchimura. It'll be exciting to see how they do! Of course, if you don't want to wait until tonight, you can try to catch the events streaming live at NBCOlympics.com.
