Once Upon A Time Season 2 Will Hit Blu-ray And DVD In August
ABC’s Once Upon a Time wrapped up its second season only recently, airing this year's finale just last Sunday. Nonetheless, ABC Studios has already announced the show’s upcoming Blu-ray and DVD release, which will come with plenty of extras. Fans who are excited to purchase the second season of ABC’s hit drama will still have a while to wait before the release: Once Upon A Time: The Complete Second Season won’t hit Blu-ray or DVD until August 13.
Once Upon A Time has already been renewed for a third season on ABC, and the Blu-ray and DVD release is likely being timed to give people a reason to catch the old episodes before the new season hits the air. We’ll have to see whether Season 3 will live up to Season 2, which features a slew of new plotlines, guest stars, and several worlds full of magic. Notably, Lost’s Jorge Garcia pops up as a giant and Colin O’Donoghue is signed on as Captain Hook.
I was really hoping the Once Upon a Time: The Complete Second Season set would give audiences a sneak peek behind-the-scenes of the show’s spinoff, Once Upon A Time In Wonderland, but that doesn’t seem to be happening. Instead, bonus features on the disc will include some basics like bloopers, deleted scenes, and audio commentary but also a few more interesting featurettes. I personally think the “A Fractured Family Tree” segment will be worth checking out, as it will explain the crazy genealogy the show has created for its characters. You can pre-order the set over at Amazon or check out the full list of bonus features, below.
Once Upon A Time Blu-ray And DVD Extras

- “The Fairest Bloopers of Them All”
