Orange Is The New Black Clip Has Piper Showing Off Her Egg-cellent Artwork

We still have a little while to wait for the second season of Orange is the New Black, however we're now close enough to the June 6 debut of Season 2 to start seeing footage. That includes a clip from the first episode, which gives us a look at what Taylor Schilling's character is up to when things get started. Spoilers (obviously) if you're not caught up through the first season of Orange is the New Black!

EW shared the video above, which shows Piper in solitary, which is likely a punishment for the beat down she served up to Pensatucky at the end of Season 1. What has she been up to, besides trying to keep track of which guard is on duty and what time breakfast is? She's making wall art with cooked egg yolk, apparently. Gross.

EW's featuring Orange is the New Black on this week's cover. Check it out:

Featured are Kate Mulgrew as the intimidating Red, Uzo Aduba as Crazy Eyes (who's sniffing Piper's hair), Taylor Schilling as Piper and Laura Prepon as Alex. Prepon is set to depart the series, however she will be back in Season 2 for four episodes, and there's always the chance we'll see her return in the future, assuming Orange returns for seasons beyond its second.

From what EW reports in their cover story, series creator Jenji Kohan says we should expect Orange is the New Black to be "a little darker, a little more fractured" in Season 2. The Netflix drama will be exploring the various groups at the prison one at a time, as the drama aims to veer away from campiness and focus a bit more on the reality of prison. It also sounds like we'll be learning more of the backstories of the other characters, including Lorna, taste and Poussey.

And there's apparently going to be some shifting alliances thanks to the arrival of a new prisoner, played by Lorraine Toussaint. From what we've seen of her so far, it seems like she has some kind of history with Red...

So, maybe she'll be luring some of Red's allies and followers away from her. We'll find out a little more than a month from now when the second season of Orange is the New Black arrives on Netflix.
