Palmer Updates For Season 6 Of 24
It appears Regina King has been cast for season 6 of ‘24’. According to Comingsoon.net, Ms. King will play Angela, the sister of Wayne Palmer and late ex-President, David Palmer. Along with adding a new Palmer-sibling to the cast, it seems Wayne Palmer’s moved up in the world because he’ll reappear in the 6th season of the series as the recently elected president.
After President Logan’s own wife exposed his evil (or just plain idiotic, depending on how you look at it) scheme, we all wondered who would be in the White House in season 6. Would it be someone who trusted Bauer the way David Palmer did? Or would it be another foolish and overly insecure president like Logan? Barring any major changes in Wayne’s life since we last saw him, it’s likely that whenever Jack does resurface, the new President Palmer will be on his side.
As for King’s character, Angela – She will be playing an advocacy lawyer. That’s all the information I’ve been able to gather. For those of you who don’t recognize Regina King’s name, picture Rod Tidwell’s wife in Jerry McGuire or more recently, Margie Hendricks in Ray. She’s been in many other movies too and if there’s one thing that woman is good at, its playing a woman who knows what she wants and isn’t afraid to fight for it.
So will the Angela/Wayne relationship be an agreeable one or can we expect a Season 2ish Sherry/David Palmer relationship in which we have to worry about the president compromising his principals in favor of some evil scheme from the woman whose got his ear (in this case though, it’d be Wayne’s sister and not his wife, obviously). Guess we’ll have to wait and see!
