Separately, they made groundbreaking contributions to one of the biggest trends in celebrity culture: the leaked sex tape. But now that they are a married couple, Pamela Anderson and her husband of two months, Rick Salomon, are going to be shot on tape again, but this time for E!
According to US Weekly , the couple is developing a series to debut in the spring of 2008 on the celeb-drenched cable channel, which will follow them around Vegas as they balance their non-stop party life, while showing their family life with their children from their previous marriages. Anderson has two children from her marriage to Motley Crue drummer (and co-star of her infamous sex tape) Tommy Lee, and Salomon has two daughters from a previous marriage.
A source told Us Weekly that the show will remind viewers of another famous couple’s shot at reality success. “Think Nick and Jessica's show (MTV's Newlyweds), but with a lot more sex and a crazier family life," the source said. But since the show is on E!, it’s probably not going to be the amount of sex we’re used to seeing from these two.
Now, I know seeing what its like to be Pamela Anderson 24/7 does have its appeal, but what is Rick Salomon brining to the table? Pretty much the only thing Salomon is known for is having sex with Paris Hilton on a night-vision camera, and having non-camera sex with other starlets. US Weekly says that the two celebs’ work with charities for the homeless will be featured as well, but this is probably to justify the hours of footage of the two drinking and dancing in every VIP room in Las Vegas.
There’s no word on whether Anderson’s or Salomon’s boldface exes will appear, but it would surprise me if there’s a showing by Kid Rock or Tommy Lee. And if there’s as much sex going on as the “source” says, maybe there will be more leaked footage hitting the internet in the future. The prospect of another Pam Anderson sex tape might make the hours of following around Rick Salomon worth it.
