I’ve been a fan of reality TV since the days of The Real World. I’ve watched them all, including the PBS shows. There is something about the lack of a laugh track, the (illusion of) unpredictability, and the everyday people (they always get some real “characters”, don’t they?), that attracted me to this genre.
The Hollywood Reporter just released news about a new reality show, and since I strongly prefer such programming, I thought I’d read the story.
Imagine my shock and horror when I realized that this is not just any new reality show. This is just another Has-Been Playboy Playmate, trying to get back on the map after her third divorce. Yup, that’s right, Pamela Anderson is getting her own show. E! Entertainment is partnering with the supremely pathetic Baywatch icon is trying to get back into the biz with an 8-part series highlighting her life.
I bet that the people who blur nakedness for TV are going to be working overtime, because chances are she is going to be stripping it all off every chance she gets. What do you bet she gets married again?
