Paris Hilton's My New BFF Coming Soon To MTV
Ever wonder what Paris Hilton looks for in a best friend? MTV is giving viewers a chance to find out in a new reality competition series called Paris Hilton’s My New BFF. Set to premiere on September 30th, the series will follow sixteen girls and two guys as they head off to Beverly Hills and attempt to win over the celebrity .
The contestants were hand-picked by Paris herself and they’ll have to perform in a series of tests that will demonstrate their loyalty, endurance and compatibility with Hilton. This includes traveling around the world, learning about maintaining a powerful brand, party at elite clubs, attend red carpet events and get VIP makeovers. Sounds tough. Paris will eventually weed out the people who don’t cut the mustard, giving them the old TTYN (which apparently means Talk To You Never.) The last girl (or guy) standing will win the right to say “Paris Hilton is my new BFF.” After that, I’m not exactly sure how far she’s committed to actually letting her new BFF live up to the role but it should be interesting to see how this series plays out.
Based on the trailer below, I’m guessing that this attempt to win over Hilton is going to be a bit harder than some of these people might have anticipated. I’ve been over the whole Paris Hilton craze for a long time now but I’m finding myself oddly curious about this show in a weird, My Super Sweet 16 guilty pleasure kind of way.
Paris Hilton’s My New BFF will air on MTV on September 30, 2008 at 10:00 p.m.
