If you’re keeping up with Starz’ Pillars of the Earth miniseries this summer, we have some information on this Friday night’s episode to share with you.

This Friday night, Starz will air the fourth hour of their miniseries adaptation of Ken Follett’s popular novel The Pillars of the Earth. Read no further if you don’t want to know what’s to come. (Unless you’ve read the book, in which case, chances are, you already know what’s going to happen.)

This week, William learns that there’s someone else hoping to claim the Earldom. Meanwhile, Jack’s life is put in danger thanks to King Stephen. Below is the trailer for the episode and further down is Starz’s full episode description.

William applies to have his father’s title of Earl transferred to him, and discovers a mysterious knight is also a rival for the Earldom. King Stephen, frightened by Jack’s appearance, orders an assassin to kill him. The battle between King Stephen and Maud sees each side’s leader being taken hostage. Philip is tortured into a confession when Waleran tells Maud that he is the man who betrayed Earl Bartholomew.

The fourth hour of The Pillars of the Earth will air on FRIDAY, AUGUST 6TH AT 10PM ET/PT on Starz.
