Polyamory: Married And Dating Preview: Meet The Cast Of Showtime's New Reality Series
Showtime has a new reality series set to air on the network beginning tomorrow. Called Polyamory: Married and Dating, the show will focus on long-term couples who believe in engaging in loving relationships with more than one person, in many different sorts of circumstances. The new documentary reality series airs on Thursday at 11 p.m. ET, and now Showtime has a new preview to introduce the cast to potential fans.
As the preview highlights, Showtime’s new series will follow two sets of relationships. The first will feature married couple Lindsey and Anthony and their partner Vanessa, who wants a more long-term commitment from the the couple she loves. In the other storyline, Kamala Devi and Michael have just asked their married couple friends, Jen and Tahl, to move in with them and to work through the challenges that sometimes come with dealing with multiple lovers. You can check out the full press release via Futon Critic.
I’m not really sure about this show, although it is not the topic that seems to be the problem. Nothing about the preview for Polyamory: Married and Dating had that compelling it factor that grabbed me and made me feel like I needed to see more. Maybe it is because the couples all seemed pretty happy and there was not too much innate drama to deal with. And maybe it was simply because the preview spent a lot of time explaining the types of relationships the couples are engaged in, but based on the promo, nothing about the series seems particularly carefully put together or interesting. If you are curious about the upcoming show, it will air on Showtime on Thursday, July 12 at 11 p.m. ET.
