Poster For AMC's Hell On Wheels Promises Blood, Death, And Ruination
We're a little over a month away from the premiere of AMC's new Western drama, Hell on Wheels. The show stars Anson Mount as a former Confederate soldier who starts working for Union Pacific on the construction of the Transcontinental Railroad in the aftermath of the Civil War. More importantly, he's trying to wreak terrible vengeance upon the people responsible for his wife's death. If the promises on the new poster for the show are to be believed, that's bad news for the bad guys.
In addition to Mount, the show's cast includes the likes of rapper Common and Colm "Chief Miles O'Brien" Meaney. It was created and written by Tony and Joe Gayton, who most recently co-wrote The Rock's action-free action movie, Faster. That doesn't inspire a whole lot of confidence, but we'll give them the benefit of the doubt since AMC has a moderately good track record. (We'll just hope The Killing was a fluke.) Longtime genre fans may also perk up at the knowledge that former X-Files/Supernatural/Breaking Bad writer/producer John Shiban is onboard as an executive producer.
Hell on Wheels premieres November 6th on AMC at 10/9 c. Here's a look at Anson Mount doing his best badass glare, via TV Guide.
