Rachel Ray's Daytime Show On the Bubble
Rachel Ray, the hyperactive host of shows on The Food Network, and her own syndicated self titled daytime talk/cooking show, is about to get the ax. Okay, not all of her shows are going off the air, but she is about to have some more free time, since Page Six is reporting that her low ratings are translating to unhappy executives.
Apparently, hopes were high when her show was in production, but when it began airing, it’s high point was only a 2.5 Neilsen Rating. And, it’s been downhill since there. She’s currently hovering around 2.0 and since her sets are super expensive that equals likely cancellation.
Rachel Ray is not just a daily cooking show, and though it oftens features other celebrities, they try to address issues that every day people face. They’ve featured stories on divorce, spying on your kids and countless other topics.
I love Rachel as much as the next girl, but her ADHD tendencies start to grate on you after awhile. I watch any of her shows on occasion, but spend more time on her books and her magazine. Her recipes are awesome, but with the books, I don’t have to hear her voice!
