Red Foreman To Shove Foot Up Supreme Court’s Ass
Kurtwood Smith(Dead Poet’s Society, RoboCop) spent nine years scaring the hell out of me as cantankerous father Red Foreman on the FOX hit ‘That 70s Show.’ Along the way, he insulted his way into the American lexicon, arguably becoming one of the more popular curmudgeons of all time(behind Mr. Scrooge, of course). It now appears Smith will turn his old man anger onto the Supreme Court.
‘Supreme Courtships’ will follow the personal and professional lives of six Supreme Court justices and their sexually active clerks. Apparently, the producers can’t count or three of the justices aren’t important enough to put on camera. Kate Burton has also been inked to play one of the justices. Burton has gained a bit of fame over the last few seasons as Meredith’s mother on ABC ratings powerhouse ‘Grey’s Anatomy.’
In recent years, Fox has brought the American public such historic programming as ‘Life On A Stick’, ‘Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader?’, and ‘Celebrity Boxing’; however, in their infinite wisdom, Fox executives have realized the one thing the American public wants to see: members of the most sacred high court engaged in lascivious love affairs. Congratulations Fox! You continue to prove why you will always be the ‘National Enquirer’ of the four major networks.
According to industry trade papers, Shane West(A Walk To Remember, ‘ER’) and Zachary Knighton(The Hitcher, Cherry Falls) have also signed on to presumably play two of the “sexually active clerks.”
