A lot of people cant stand opinionated Talk Show hosts. There are of course, exceptions to this rule. If that talk show host is pissed off, energetic and covered in tattoos, the opinions can become not only bearable but entertaining as well. In case you missed the story we ran on this last week, Henry Rollins is about to kick off the second season of his talk show series ‘The Henry Rollins Show,’ on the Independent Film Channel.
He’s uncensored and oftentimes loud but Rollins has a way of mixing that in with a nice blend of intelligence and a even little bit of charm. I can’t stand his music because screaming makes me twitchy but Rollins in talk-show host form is a real slice of fantastic.
What will you find in an episode of ‘The Henry Rollins Show’? Social commentaries, open letters to celebrities and politicians, motivational speeches, debates, uncensored musical performances and of course, celebrities interviews. His musical guests range from Slayer to Ben Folds. His celebrity interviews have included Jeff Bridges, Bill Maher, Kevin Smith and Ozzy Osbourne, among others.
The new season will premiere on Friday, April 13th at 11:00 PM EST on IFC. Marilyn Manson will be the celebrity guest and the band Peaches will perform.
