Revenge Episode 12 Preview: Infamy

What did you think of last night’s Revenge? Was the episode worth the weeks of waiting? For those of you already set to start looking forward to next week’s episode, we have the preview video, along with some photos and episode details for you to check out and spend the next week speculating over... Some mild spoilers and a bit of speculation ahead!

For those of you not quite ready for some mild spoilers and a look ahead, you can read our take on last night’s episode, which is full of opinions and speculation here.

Moving on, it looks like the cause for celebration may not be over. In fact, we know it isn’t. The series began with a flash-forward that included an engagement announcement. Now it looks like we’re coming up on the point in time when the topic of tying the knot will be addressed for Daniel and Emily. Check out the preview video below, which aired during last night’s episode...

It seems like it’s sort of implied that Daniel’s intentions are to propose to Emily in an effort to access his trust. Has this been his plan all along? So far, it seems like Daniel and Emily’s romance is the real deal on both sides, but what if it turns out that Daniel’s just been playing Emily in an effort to make her his (first) wife so he can come into his fortune and take over the family business? Is that an insane theory or just the type of thing this show would do? (Especially considering Daniel may very well be meeting his demise in an upcoming episode).

Also, based on what we saw between Ashley and Emily last night, and what’s in the above preview, I’m becoming more convinced that Emily is fully aware that Ashley’s up to no good and not a true friend. I think she’s been keeping track of Ashley’s thinly veiled attitude, which is unfortunate... for Ashley. I wouldn’t want to be on Emily’s bad side.

Here’s ABC’s episode description for “Infamy”:

REVENGE - "Infamy" - Emily sets her sights on a new target when a famed author who has deep ties with both the Graysons and the Clarkes returns to town; Conrad proves how dirty he's willing to get when Daniel gets dragged into the divorce; Jack finally let's his guard down with Amanda; and a stunning revelation is unveiled and becomes a game changer for Emily and the Graysons, on Revenge," WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 11 (10:00-11:00 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network.

And finally, the photos...

It looks like Roger Bart (Desperate Housewives, The Event) is playing the "famed author" who visits. Whoever he is, he's important enough for Victoria to attend his book reading. I bet none of the characters actually eat any food at that cafe...

And Emily and Nolan are also there... is the author one of Emily's targets?

Is that one of Emily's icy stares? I sometimes get it confused with her "listening intently and politely" stares...

Now, this is definitely the icy stare...

Perhaps it's due to witnessing Amanda's attempt to reenact a scene from Coyote Ugly...

Or maybe the bar dancing came after whatever brief conversation Amanda had with Emily... Along with this...

Shots and empty apologies?

Finally, since I'm quickly becoming a fan of scenes in this series that involve food environments where no food is consumed, here's what appears to be two different conversations with Conrad...

And him with his attorney (played by Alias' Merrin Dungey!):
