Revenge Preview: Videos From Legacy Take Us Back In Time

Tomorrow night's episode of Revenge is looking like it'll be a good one, as it should give us some insight into how Emily got on track to exact vengeance on the people who wronged her father. We know the highlights of that story, more or less, but there's apparently more to the story, which takes us back a decade to to a New Years Eve party. Spoilers and videos ahead!

We know that when Emily (still "Amanda" then) left the detention center and was greeted by Nolan, who handed over the information about her father. But what happened after that? Did Emily immediately dive head first into vengeance scheming? Apparently not. This week's episode, titled "Legacy" takes us back ten years to 2002 to show us where everyone was at that time. Check out ABC's official episode description below:

"Legacy" - The year is 2002 in the Hamptons... Emily, who is still Amanda Clarke, is wayward and reckless until Nolan convinces her to read her father's journals. It is then that it all starts sinking in, and Amanda starts staking out the Grayson home, identifying all the Grayson Global players her father described, and piecing together the truth. Her anger builds into determination and focus; this is where it all begins - the genesis of Amanda's ultimate plan to bring justice to her father -- on Revenge, WEDNESDAY, MAY 9 (10:00-11:00 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network.

We're used to seeing Emily poised, alert and focused. This clip gives us some indication that this wasn't always the case. Apparently, there was a time when Nolan was trying to reel her in and get her to see just how messed up the situation with her father was…

I know I'm somewhat obsessed with the food that's displayed but never gets eaten on this series, but I'm secretly gleeful to see Emily eating in this scene. that said, she does seem to push the food around her plate more than she actually eats it, but it's still food consumption nonetheless!

This clip may reveal something that's either news or else, I somehow missed before. Do Jack and Declan have a sister?

Jack says "Dad" instead of "My dad…" Between that and her response, not to mention the fact that this girl looks similar to Jack, I'm thinking she's a Porter. If so, interesting! Where did she go?

In addition to revealing how Emily manages to crash the New Year's Eve party, the clip also reveals that ten years ago, Jack looked like he fell out of the cast of Dazed and Confused.

It's going to be very interesting to see what happens with this party. Some other spoilers worth mention: Expect to see the return of Lydia and the dearly departed Frank!
