No New Revolution Tonight, NBC To Air Boston Marathon Attack Coverage Instead
In the wake of the tragic events during the Boston Marathon today, TV viewers may expect some last minute changes to the Monday night primetime line-up. At this point, it looks like CBS is planning on running things business-as-usual, however NBC has reportedly pulled tonight's episode of Revolution from the schedule, and will air coverage of the Boston tragedy in its place.
At this point, information about the two explosions that disrupted the Boston Marathon today is still coming in, but there have been reports of numerous casualties and injuries during the incident. While the press, law enforcers and the government continue to put the pieces together, people across the country are sending their thoughts to Boston and trying to make sense of this terrible ordeal. In the process, the ongoing news coverage will have some effect on the regularly scheduled programming tonight. TVLine posted the updates, stating that NBC is putting a Brian Williams-anchored news special on tonight at 10:00 p.m. where Revolution's newest episode, "The Night the Lights Went Out In Georgia" was originally supposed to air.
The site doesn't say if Revolution's preempted episode will air next Monday or at some point between tonight and then. There's also no word on any schedule changes in terms of The Voice, so that may be airing as scheduled. There are also no updates from Fox or ABC at the moment, so it's unknown if ABC will air Dancing with the Stars and Castle as planned and if Fox will air their scheduled episodes of Bones and The Following. We'll post an update if and when there's any additional information.
