Romijn Adds A Bit of Misique To Ugly Betty
As if Selma Hayek weren’t hot enough to bring the sexy to ‘Ugly Betty’ each week, Rebecca Romijn has been cast in the hit new show. Romijn will play the mysterious bandaged woman plotting to take over Mode magazine, the fictional fashion magazine where Betty works (or technically, worked).
If you’re a fan of the show you’re probably thinking, “The mysterious bandaged woman that Wilhelmina’s always talking to? Her voice doesn’t sound at all like Rebecca Romijn.” The voice of the woman was done by a different actress but perhaps the writers have decided to go with someone more well known to play the unbandaged version of the conspirator.
The official date for Romijn’s appearance on the show hasn’t been released but TV.com reported that she would be appearing on the show some time during February sweeps.
The show introduced Wilhelmina and the bandaged woman as a sort of secret evil duo who are conspiring to take down Bradford Meade, head of Meade Publishings (which owns Mode Magazine) but as the show has progressed, we’ve seen a much more human side from Wilhelmina and a much more suspicious and possibly criminal side to Meade. ‘Ugly Betty’ is the second highest rated new show on TV this season.
