Running Wilde Cast Gets Slap Happy On Set: Video

It seems the pressure may be getting to the cast of Fox’s new comedy series Running Wilde. Series co-star Peter Serafinowicz released an on-set video of the cast getting slappy with star Keri Russell.

While the fate of the series still hangs in the balance, the cast is relieving tension on set with a bit of faux-aggression. Check out the video below, which was posted on Serafinowicz Youtube Channel today.

The joke about Serafinowicz asserting his authority might've been funnier if he was slapping Arnett and not Russell, but that’s just me being a little uncomfortable with the sight of two men taking turns slapping a woman. It's a joke though, and I'm sure no offense was meant here. If there’s any kind of statement being made, it’s probably that the cast is OK taking a breather and having some laughs on set.

Anyway, it’s nice to see the cast having fun, despite the ongoing chatter that the ratings haven’t been strong. Fox gave a full season order to Raising Hope, the other Tuesday night comedy that airs alongside Running Wilde but has yet to make any formal decision as to whether or not they’ll be picking up the back-nine episodes Running Wilde. If you’re a fan of the show or you’ve been meaning to watch it, you might want to start showing your support. Fox hasn’t pulled the rug out from under this series just yet but their hesitation to order more doesn’t bode well.

Running Wilde airs Tuesdays at (9:30-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX.
