SEAL Team Six Trailer Offers An Intense Look At National Geographic's Upcoming Film

Last week, we learned that National Geographic had set the date for the world premiere of the film SEAL Team Six: The Raid on Osama bin Laden. The dramatic take on the mission that saw the demise of the al-Qaeda leader is set to air this November. The trailer for the film has arrived online and gives us a look at the intense story set to be told.

It's interesting to note that the film isn't just focusing on the plan to invade bin Laden's compound, the gathering of information and the measures taken to move everything into place leading up to the raid, but also on the soldiers themselves. There's a lot of shooting and the trailer is accompanied by a big-screen movie score, but during the build-up of plans and strategy, we also see a soldiers talking to their loved ones via webcam and kissing their kids goodbye. It's a reminder that behind the uniforms, guns and goggles are human beings about to put their lives in jeopardy.

SEAL Team Six is directed by John Stockwell and tells the story of the team of U.S. Navy SEALS who embarked upon the dangerous mission to raid Osama bin Laden's compound and take him down nearly a decade after the attacks of September 11. Among the cast for the film, which is set to air on National Geographic Channel November 4, are Cam Gigandet, Anson Mount, Freddy Rodriquez, Xzibit, Kathleen Robertson, Eddie Kay Thomas and Kenneth Miller.
