Sarah Chalke Takes Another Fall Sitcom Role On Team Spitz

Sarah Chalke is already on board to star in the ABC comedy pilot Freshman, as a new Congresswoman in the House of Representatives, but the former Scrubs star isn't stopping there. EW is reporting that she's also signed on for what's technically a guest role on CBS's Team Spitz, in which she'll play a guidance counselor.

Team Spitz comes second to Freshman, obviously, and it's unclear how much time she'll be able to spend hanging around the high school set, but clearly someone is seeing Chalke as a kind of sitcom magic charm worth having around under any circumstances. After all, her Stella on How I Met Your Mother definitely wasn't the best match for Ted, but the episodes in which she appeared-- including the infamous Britney Spears ones-- were pretty great.

Former Daily Show correspondent and generally hilarious dude Rob Riggle is already starring in Team Spitz as a pompous football coach, someone who will inevitably butt heads with Chalke's guidance counselor character. Glee is really the only school doing the high school comedy thing right now, but I'm betting this one will have a few less songs and dances, meaning there's plenty of room for both.
