Sarah Jessica Parker And Kate Hudson To Guest Star On Glee In Season 4

If there's one thing Glee's becoming known for beyond its catchy covers to pop songs, it's its guest stars, of which the musical dramedy series never seems to have any shortage of. While the series is just wrapping up its third season at Fox, they're already lining up guest stars for Season 4, and they have some good ones.

Sex and the City's Sarah Jessica Parker is set to appear in Glee next season in a guest starring role. We don't yet know any details on the part, however Parker does have a musical background, having appeared on Broadway in Annie during the earlier years of her career.

Also joining Glee for Season 4 is Kate Hudson. Once again, beyond knowing she's going to appear in the show as a guest star, we don't know any of the specifics for her character. What we do know is that she's set up for a six-episode arc.

I can't help but see a loose connection between Hudson and Parker, as Parker starred in The First Wives Club, which also starred Goldie Hawn, Hudson's mother. There may be a more direct connection between the two film stars that I'm not thinking of. Regardless, no word on whether we'll actually see them on screen together in Glee.

We learned earlier today that Fox is set to move Glee to Thursday nights come next fall. The musical-themed series is fittingly tucked behind the results episode of The X Factor.

Assistant Managing Editor

Kelly put her life-long love of movies, TV and books to greater use when she joined CinemaBlend as a freelance TV news writer in 2006, and went on to serve as the site’s TV Editor before joining the staff full-time in 2011 and moving over to other roles at the site. At present, she’s an Assistant Managing Editor who spends much of her time brainstorming and editing features, analyzing site data, working with writers and editors on content planning and the workflow, and (of course) continuing to obsess over the best movies and TV shows (those that already exist, and the many on the way). She graduated from SUNY Cortland with BA in Communication Studies and a minor in Cinema Studies. When she isn't working, she's probably thinking about work, or reading (or listening to a book), and making sure her cats are living their absolute best feline lives.
