Scandal 'We Do Not Touch The First Ladies' Preview: Is Mellie Due For Her Own Juicy Scandal?
Scandal is back! The series returned last night after what seemed like forever to bring us back into the chaos that is Olivia Pope's life. And if you haven't seen last night's episode yet ("Ride, Sally, Ride"), stop reading now because I won't be holding back on the post-ep spoilers!
...Like how it looks like we're seeing some major set-up for Mellie to have her very own scandalous relationship with Fitz's running mate. Oh how I already love this budding plot. The preview suggests that Olivia is not in favor of this situation -- assuming that's what Olivia's talking about when she says "It has to stop." -- and as Fitz's campaign advisor, she does get a say. But as Fitz's mistress... well the situation gets that much more complicated, doesn't it?
In other news, let's all pause and celebrate how amazing Mellie looks in this photo from "We Do Not Touch the First Ladies":
Stunning! I'm really liking the idea of Mellie having a romantic arc. But how does Fitz feel about it? The episode description talks of "old feelings and jealousies" and a "harsh reality" for the President...
What will Quinn be doing to try to prove herself to B613? At this point, the sky's probably the limit as she seems to be up for anything, including being a creepy kidnapper if the job calls for it. Honestly, is it weird that I found the sight of Quinn offering that kid ice cream and luring him into her car more disturbing than the sight of her enjoying torture? It did seem like she might have felt at least some remorse for thwarting her old coworkers' attempts to get the truth about Sally's husband from that medical examiner.
Meanwhile, the Gladiators appear to be hard at work on some kind of case involving a lot of photos...
And Huck's looking pretty satisfied here...
