School Spirits Preview: Haunted School Is In Session Tonight On Syfy

Ghost Hunters fans may want to check out Syfy tonight as their new docuseries School Spirits is set to premiere. From the promo for the show, it looks like the tone and format of the series will be a bit different from Ghost Hunters, but there is a similar spooky theme at work here as the show explores potentially haunted school campuses across the country.

Executive produced by seth Jarrett, Julie Insogna and Mark Burnett, School Spirits visits schools and universities across America to explore potentially haunted locations, speak with the people who've had creepy experiences and discuss the incidents with students, alumni, faculty and historians. And as you'll see in the promo below, there are also dramatic reenactments of some of the scary experiences people have had.

Not only does the reenacting seem to set this show apart from Ghost Hunters (in addition to the lack of TAPS representation), but it also could be the most entertaining - and borderline corny, if not completely campy - aspect of the show. Who doesn't love a good dramatic reenactment? Looks like a fun series for those who love a good ghost story!

School Spirits premieres tonight (Wednesday, June 20) at 10:00 p.m. ET on Syfy.
