Schwarzenegger Gets His Ride Pimped

Earlier today, MTV aired a special “Earth Day” episode of the hit series “Pimp My Ride.” The episode featured California Governor, Arnold Schwarzenegger, who brought his 1965 Chevy Impala in for some earth-friendly upgrades. Though The Governator still has a number of Hummers in his collection of vehicles, he’s cut back on the gas-guzzling autos and showed love for the environment last year when he signed a global warming law.

The team at Galpin Auto Sports tricked out the former body-builder-slash-actor’s car with a monster engine that can go from zero to sixty miles per hour in three seconds and runs on renewable biodeisel fuel. According to The Hollywood Reporter, “the governor said that the car’s emissions of greenhouse gases will be 50% lower than a comparable gas-powered car.”

Last week, Hollywood.com reported that Schwarzenegger was so impressed by the upgrades to his Impala that he asked them to do a similar modification to one of his Hummers.

In case you missed the “Earth Day” episode of ‘Pimp My Ride,’ which aired earlier today, it will be rerun on MTV on Wednesday, 4/25 at 5:00 pm EST, Thursday 4/26 at 9:00 PM (the usual time for new ‘Pimp My Ride’ episodes) and Friday 4/27 at 9:30 PM EST.
