SciFi's Lost Room Premieres Next Week

Imagine a comb that can stop time or a pair of scissors that can rotate any object in three dimensions. If you’re thinking this sounds like something the Sci-Fi network might cook up, you’re right. On Monday, December 11th, the network will air its new mini-series, ‘The Lost Room’ which will center on a strange motel room and a number of seemingly ordinary objects possessed with extraordinary abilities.

According to the description on the SciFi website, Room 10 of the Sunshine Motel was just your average motel room, as were the objects within it until one day some inexplicable event took place, which caused a drastic change to the room and it’s contents. While the objects became possessed with various powerful abilities, the Room itself remained an unchanging haven and a portal to any destination.

The owner of any object from the ‘Lost Room’ adopts the power of the object, however there’s a catch: Whoever uses the object sacrifices something physical, emotional or psychological. The show itself will center on the room, the objects and the people who are trying to track them down in the hopes of either using their powers for their own personal gain or keeping them from being found and used by others.

‘The Lost Room’ will star Peter Krause (‘Six Feet Under’) who will play Detective Joe Miller. Miller discovers the room during a murder investigation. Also starring in the show is Julianna Margulies (‘ER’) who plays a mysterious woman who contacts Detective Miller, claiming her brother was killed for the key to the motel room. Elle Fanning (sister of Dakota Fanning) will play Miller’s only child.

‘The Lost Room will premiere on the SciFi Network on Monday, December 11th at 9 pm.
