Scott Foley Teams With Rina Mimoun To Write A Drama Pilot

Scott Foley’s TV appearances have been numerous over the last decade. From Scrubs to The Unit and more recently, Cougar Town and Grey’s Anatomy, Foley’s certainly made a name for himself on the small screen, however I’ll probably always associate him with his role as Noel from Felicity (Team Noel for life!).

According to Deadline, Foley’s latest venture will actually have him working off-camera as he’s set to write a drama pilot for CBS/WBTV, alongside Rina Mimoun. Foley and Minmoun worked together previously on a pilot called The Doctor, in which Foley starred. This new project, titled The Escape Artist will be Foley’s first project as a writer.

In addition to The Doctor, Minmoun’s credit’s include creating Privileged, and writing for Eastwick, Pushing Daisies and Everwood, as well as an episode of The CW’s upcoming new series Hart of Dixie. Given that a lot of her projects appear to lean toward the young-adult demographic, I’ll be interested to see what she and Foley put together with The Escape Artist. The pilot involves a brother and sister who help people disappear. It definitely sounds interesting and could be a good fit for The CW or CBS (probably depending on the age of the siblings.) I also wonder if Foley will write himself into the show, or if he’ll be staying completely behind the scenes for this one.
