Season 2 of FX’s Archer ended last April, so a December turnover on a DVD or Blu-Ray release is pretty slow. Maybe not quite as protracted as an HBO release, but still slow. Luckily, if you have been waiting for the super suave spy’s second season adventures, you will not have too much longer to wait. Archer: The Complete Season Two will hit the market on December 27th.
The bad news is this isn’t in time for the holidays. On the bright side, following the Season 1 Blu-Ray release of Archer in September, Archer: The Complete Season Two will be available on both Blu-Ray and DVD. The show is not a whole lot funnier on Blu-Ray, but it is a better watch if you the right equipment. Both Blu-Ray and DVD copies will come with all 13 episodes of Season 2, as well as the same bonus features. Three never-before-available animated shorts will be included with the set. Other special features include “Isis Invades Comic Con,” “L’espoin Mal Fait,” “Semper Fi,” and “Archersaurus.” Rounding out the special features is an “Ask Archer” segment.
Archer features the vocal talents of H. Jon Benjamin as Sterling Archer. Judy Greer, Chris Parnell, Amber Nash, Aisha Tyler, and Jessica Walter also lend their vocal talents to the program. If you haven’t caught or haven’t caught up to Season 3 of the Archer yet, the December 27 release date will give you just enough time to catch up before Archer returns in January of 2012.
