Selina Kyle Revealed In Gotham First Look Photo
Following up on yesterday's glimpse of Donal Logue as Detective Harvey Bullock for Fox's Gotham comes our first look at the beautiful Camren Bicondova as Selina Kyle, also known as the future Catwoman. She's just a teen in this series, which serves as a prequel to Batman's era in Gotham and will focus on Ben McKenzie's character Detective Jim Gordon.
When Bicondova was first cast in the role of the teen character of Selina Kyle, we learned that Selina was "a teenage orphan who is suspicious and wholly unpredictable. A street thief and skilled pickpocket, she's dangerous when cornered."
The fishnets, collar and gloves certainly give off the classic kid-of-the-streets look. But there's no denying how beautiful she is. Is she a fighter though? We'll have to wait and see.
Bicondova's relatively knew to acting, but as we stated when her casting was announced, she does have a background in dancing, and that grace and litheness could certainly come in handy as she plays the girl who's destined to go on to be Catwoman. Here's a look at Bicondova showing off her dancing skills...
As mentioned, Gotham will serve as a prequel to Batman's era in Gotham, though we know that Bruce Wayne will appear in the series. Like Selina, Bruce is young during this time frame. He'll be played by David Mazouz, whom you may recognize from his starring role on Fox's shortlived drama Touch. While Wayne will factor into this new Fox series, the show is set to center around Ben McKenzie's Jim Gordon, the man who would go on to become Gotham's police commissioner. In this time frame, he's just starting out as a detective and working alongside Donal Logue's Harvey Bullock.
Here's the Gotham promotional photo WB released yesterday of Logue as Bullock:
These are the only official photos for the series that we've seen so far, excluding the logo. But it seems likely that WB will continue to roll out new promotional content to give fans of this anticipated series an idea of how the show will look. Yet to be revealed are Jim Gordon, Bruce Wayne, Fish Mooney (Jada Pinkett Smith), Alfred (Sean Pertwee), Oswald Cobblepot (Robin Lord Taylor) and a couple of other anticipated characters. We'll be on the lookout for those. In the meantime, you can follow all of our Gotham updates here for more details on the series.
