Sons of Anarchy follows a motorcycle gang in California as they deal with the politics of the club and the issues that arise both internally and externally. Below is FX’s series description and synopsis for the premiere episode of Season 3.

SONS OF ANARCHY is an adrenalized drama with darkly comedic undertones about a notorious outlaw motorcycle club intent on protecting their sheltered small town against encroaching drug dealers, corporate developers and overzealous law officers. The club is equally determined to protect their ruthless and illegally thriving arms business. Charlie Hunnam stars as Jackson ‘Jax’ Teller, a man whose love for the brotherhood is tested by his growing apprehension for its lawlessness. Katey Sagal stars as Gemma Teller Morrow, Jax’s force-of-nature mother, who along with Ron Perlman as Clarence ‘Clay’ Morrow, Jax’s stepfather and MC president, have their own darker vision for the club. This season begins with SAMCRO feeling powerless over Abel's kidnapping, especially Jax, whose grief sends him into deeper turmoil over his future with the club. The search for Abel sends our guys to Ireland, where Jax faces not only the Irish Republican Army but an untold personal history as well. Framed for murder and still on the lam, Gemma is hit with some unexpected news and risks her freedom to deal with it.

Sons of Anarchy Season 3 premieres Tuesday, September 7th at 10:00 PM ET/PT only on FX.
