Sons Of Anarchy Season 5 Behind The Scenes Video Addresses The On Set Family
It's always nice to hear that the cast of a series gets along great. But with a series like Sons of Anarchy, which embraces the idea of brotherhood, a family-like bond among the cast is something that could really enhance the chemistry of the characters on screen. The latest production video for Sons of Anarchy Season 5 explores the closeness of the cast.
Series creator and executive producer Kurt Sutter talks about working on Shawn Ryan's The Shield and wanting to create a family on Sons of Anarchy. From what the cast says about their relationships with one another, it sounds like Sutter succeeded.
I think my favorite part is Tommy Flanagan talking about hanging out on the set when he doesn't technically need to be there. "I don't f--kin know why, but I do…" Sons seems like it would be a cool set to be around, but it is work. And if you're showing up at work on your day off, that probably means you love your job and the people you work with. SAMCRO isn't what you'd call a conventional family, but it definitely has the kind of closeness you'd find in the more tighter-knit families out there. It's nice to know the cast has formed its own kind of family.
Although, I have to admit, it's amusing to see the virtual love-fest that's created with the images in the video above, seeing the cast laugh and hug and seem far more affectionate with one another than we see from their characters.
Sons of Anarchy Season 5 premieres Tuesday, September 11 at 10P on FX.
