After what seemed like the complete lifecycle of a cicada, the 80th Annual Academy Awards are over. Jon Stewart is off the stage, the awards have been handed out, and No Country for Old Men is the Best Picture of 2007.
If you were one of the hundreds of people in Cinema Blend’s annual Oscar Chat with us tonight while we watched, then you know what most of the Cinema Blend team though of tonight’s festivities. As for me, I had a good time. I just wish they’d cut out some of the extraneous awards nobody cares about and find a way to make the whole thing shorter. The Oscars would be infinitely more enjoyable at two hours than they are at the almost unbearable four they clock in at now.
