Southpark Episode Out Of The Closet Once More

Comedy Central has reportedly added the “Trapped in the Closet” episode of ‘Southpark’ back to the rerun lineup. The episode, which made news recently when it was nominated for an Emmy, was removed from the lineup because rumor had it, it upset the almighty Cruise. Rumor also had it that Trey Parker and Matt Stone were less than thrilled by the network’s decision to yank the episode.

Parker and Stone put in a decade’s worth of hilarity in the network but apparently Cruise’s opinion ranked higher than the people who helped put (and keep) Comedy Central on the map. It’s possible that the network returned the episode to the lineup as a gesture of respect and/or appreciation for the creators of the show but even more likely that the Emmy nomination made it impossible for them to keep the episode off the air.

If you haven’t seen “Trapped in the Closet”, it’ll be on Comedy Central on July 19.
