Spartacus Gods Of The Arena Preview: Episode 5 - Competition For True Worth

With just two episodes of Spartacus: Gods of the Arena left to air, I'm thinking that things are building up toward something big. For those of you who've been watching the Spartacus prequel, we have a clip and some details about this Friday night’s episode that you’ll definitely want to check out.

Last Friday night’s episode was all about decadence on the part of Lucretia and Batiatus’ friends. This Friday night, it seems the gladiators are being put to the test as Titus wants to see which of them really deserve their mark. Will this be Crixus’ chance to shine?

Below is Starz’ description for the episode and further down is a clip. You can also view the teaser for the episode and some of my thoughts on last Friday night’s ep here.

The mantle of champion of the House of Batiatus is up for grabs as Batiatus’ father, Titus (Jeffrey Thomas) announces a tournament to determine the worth of the men that make up his stable of gladiators. Batiatus (John Hannah) is at a turning point, forced to make a decision that threatens no good outcome, either path before him guaranteeing that a family bond will be destroyed. Crixus (Manu Bennett) stands dedicated to proving himself in the upcoming tournament but is drawn into the intrigue of the power play within the house.

Spartacus: Gods of the Arena airs Friday nights at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT on Starz.
