Spartacus Gods Of The Arena Preview: Fight For Her
As though we didn’t have enough reasons to look forward to Friday, Starz gave us Spartacus. This Friday night, the final episode of Gods of the Arena will air. We have a clip from the episode, titled "The Bitter End," that’ll give you something to chew on for the next few days.
Here’s the official description for the season finale of Spartacus: Gods of the Arena
Minor spoilers ahead!
In the video below, it seems that with Melitta’s death, so went the wind from Gannicus’ sails. What’s more interesting is the conversation he has with Oenomaus….
Now for pure speculation!
Is it ridiculous to even consider the possibility that Oenomaus learned that there was something going on between his wife and his best friend and has since dealt with it and moved on? Probably, but the possibility is there. In all likelihood, Oenomaus’ attributes Gannicus’ grief to him simply being fond of Melitta. After all, they were all close friends at one point.
What’s also very sweet and a little sad is how Oenomaus goes from being the commanding Doctore to a friend when trying to encourage the sullen Gannicus. He’s been trying to close the distance between himself and Gannicus, believing his new position of authority is the cause of it. Assuming he’s still unaware of the real reason for Gannicus’ unwillingness to meet his eye, I feel bad for both of them at this point.
