Spartacus Looks Ready For Battle In New War Of The Damned Poster
We're almost to the point when we can start looking at the approaching final season of Spartacus as more than just this distant but anticipated thing that's a bit too far away to get really excited about. We're still about two months away from the premiere of Spartacus: War of the Damned, which still feels like an eternity, but on the bright side, we have passed the two-month mark! And today we have a new piece of key art for the Starz series to look at to celebrate.
Starz released the poster below, which shows Liam McIntyre looking ready for war and his army of rebels looking armed, enthusiastic and ready to back him up.
Spartacus: War of the Damned stars Liam McIntyre, who returns to the title character as he leads his substantially larger army of rebel slaves through a war against the Romans. Returning to the show are Manu Bennett (Crixus), Dustin Clare (Gannicus), Dan Feuerriegel (Agron), Cynthia Addai-Robinson (Naevia) and Ellen Hollman (Saxa). As you should already know if you're caught up on the show (spoiler alert if you aren't!), pretty much every other main character on the show was killed off in the bloodbath that was last season.
Naturally, War of the Damned will include a few new characters, who couldn't possibly fill the void left by the likes of Oenomaus, Lucretia, Ashur, Ilithyia and Glabor, but will hopefully bring something great to the show in their own way. Among them, Simon Merrells as Marcus Crassus and Todd Lasance as Julius Caesar.
Here's Starz's description for War of the Damned:
Spartacus: War of the Damned premieres January 25 on Starz. And for those who might be hoping to make Spartacus their wallpaper, click the thumbnail below for the big version of the new poster.
