Spartacus War Of The Damned Clip Shows Us Anna Hutchison's Character Laeta
As we mentioned when we shared the preview for this Friday's episode of Spartacus: War of the Damned ("Wolves at the Gate"), the next installment of the Starz series' final season will introduce us to Todd Lasance's Julius Caesar and Anna Hutchison's character Laeta. The clip we have to show you from the episode gives us a better look at Hutchison's character.
We got a glimpse of Hutchison in the preview, but this clip not only features her character Laeta more prominently, it also gives us a better idea of what she's all about, as a slave is tied up and about to be stoned.
Laeta is described as "intelligent, beautiful and as independent as any Roman woman can be." From the clip above, she seems to disapprove of this brutal method of discipline against a slave. From what was said, the slave was apparently planning on trying to escape, and with Spartacus out freeing slaves and adding them to his army these days, it's not difficult to see how some of Rome's wealthy elite might be particularly harsh against potential rebels. But it just so happens that Spartacus is in the audience of this planned stoning, which may not be a good thing for the man giving the orders. And the last thing we hear is someone calling his name. You'll have to tune in on Friday night at 9:00 p.m ET to find out what happens next!
