Spartacus War Of The Damned Confirmed For Comic Con Panel

Now that it's confirmed that Spartacus: War of the Damned will be the last season of the series, it shouldn't come as a huge surprise that Spartacus will be making its final appearance at Comic Con in San Diego this July. But on the bright side, it's confirmed! Starz' Spartacus will be at Comic Con this year!

Starz announced the news today, stating that Liam McIntyre (Spartacus), Manu Bennett (Crixus) and series creator Steven S. DeKnight will be attending the convention for a panel. Fans who attend the panel will get a look at the first bit of new footage from War of the Damned. The series is currently in production in New Zealand and won't return until January 2013, so a sneak peek in July is certainly a real treat. The panel will take place on Friday, July 13th at 5:45 p.m.

I can remember last year's panel revealing the first look at a crazed-looking Lucretia, her wig askew and her eyes unfocused. I can't wait to see wait to see what's revealed this time around. Last year's Spartacus panel had a few more cast members in attendance, however given the bloodbath that was the Vengeance finale, this year's smaller list of Spartacus representatives seems somewhat fitting.

On a note related to Spartacus, the people who are making the documentary about Andy Whitfield's battle with cancer appear to be at the half-way point to their fund-raising goal. You can check out their kickstarter page here to learn about "Be Here Now."
