Spartacus War Of The Damned Episode 2 Preview: Wolves At The Gate

Ready for the next new episode of Spartacus: War of the Damned already? "Wolves at the Gate" is a good one and well worth the wait. The preview gives us a look at what's ahead for Spartacus and the rebels, while also giving us a glimpse of two of the seasons newcomers. Vague spoilers ahead!

"Enemies of Rome" re-introduced us to the series and caught us up on what's going on with Spartacus and his growing rebel army. The episode also brought us into Marcus Crassus' household and gave us a demonstration of the man's strategic abilities, not to mention his fighting skills. You can read our full breakdown of the season premiere here. "Wolves at the Gate" will see Spartacus leading the charge on a new mission, and it'll introduce Laeta and Caesar to the story. Watch the preview below.

Gaius Julius Caesar has arrived! And boy is he pretty, with his golden locks and swagger. Ok, we don't actually get a huge amount of swagger in this preview, but trust me, it's there. "Wolves at the Gate" will give us a good introduction to the character when we check in with Crassus. Meanwhile, also set appear in the episode is Anna Hutchison, playing the role of Laeta. She's featured in the above preview as well.

After screening the first two episodes of the season, I liked "Wolves at the Gate" better than "Enemies of Rome." The season premiere did a decent job of bringing us back into the series, but the action really gets going in the second episode, so be sure to tune in on Friday night at 9:00 p.m. to catch the episode when it airs on Starz.

In the meantime, here's another look at Caesar...
