Spartacus War Of The Damned 'Spoils of War' Clip Shows One Character Taking A Big Risk

I have this horrible feeling that someone is going to die in tomorrow night's episode of Spartacus: War of the Damned. Granted, people die all the time in this show, but the way things left off during last week's episode, it seems like it's very possible that one of the main characters will meet their demise at some point when the mayhem resumes. And this clip is doing nothing to quell growing anxiety.

Previous clips and previews for the episode have focused mainly on the Roman side of the story, but this one shows us what's going on with Spartacus and his people. It looks like a plan is forming, and it's one that will put a key character in major danger. I hate this plan already.

Gannicus is volunteering to be a distraction? Were we just looking at his final scene with Spartacus and Crixus? I sincerely hope not. I'm definitely not ready for Gannicus to die. Not to sound like a major pessimist, but it has been a while since we lost a lead character, and Friday night's "Spoils of War" does mark the first episode of the second half of the final season of this series. The timing wouldn't be wrong for something devastating to happen.

This is me trying to prepare myself for the worst. Not that it'll make it any easier to deal with if and when one of the rebels meets their end.

Spartacus: War of the Damned airs Fridays at 9:00 p.m. ET on Starz.
