R2D2. Who doesn’t love this little guy? He and Yoda have always been my favorite characters from Star Wars – I couldn’t stand C3PO and his whining ways. R2D2 can’t even speak English, but he doesn’t fool around. He takes action, and he doesn’t wait for someone to tell him what needs to be done. I love it. I think Artoo is me in droid form!
I’ve mentioned a time or two that I love Star Wars. It all began when I was only 5 months old, and my dad took me with him to see Episode 4 in the theater. Through the years, I’ve always been a fan, never giving up, even with the character of Jar Jar Binks added to the mix. But, everyone and every situation has that annoying socially inept guy that you have to deal with – that’s life. The newest edition of the franchise, Clone Wars, is currently filling my need for more, and last week’s episode featuring the Clones was awesome.
This week is going to be even better! The featured character this week is my fave R2D2! A press release that we received states, “R2-D2 is lost during a fierce space battle, and Anakin must find him before the Separatists discover the Jedi military secrets locked in his memory banks, in "Downfall of a Droid," an all-new episode of the hit animated series STAR WARS: THE CLONE WARS, premiering at 9 p.m. ET/PT Friday, Nov. 7, on Cartoon Network.”
Freaking sweet! We all know Artoo would never do anything to compromise his friends, but he is a droid, and those hackers that work for the Republic will glean everything that can if they get the chance.
