Steve-O Will Make A Man Out Of You

For three years, ‘Jackass’ launched its way into the hearts of thousands of delinquent teens with a unique brand of self-mutilating humor. As a dumbass kid who scoffed at police officers and conventional medicine, I naturally ate the entire thing up. While the mainstream media chastised Steve-O and friends for morally corrupting America, I worshiped at their alter of filth and law-breaking, even lauding them for providing my buddies and I with adrenaline-filled ideas for the weekend.

Sadly, ‘Jackass’ eventually ran its course, and ‘Wild Boyz’ didn’t quite live up to its predecessor, but there’s one network who is ready to capitalize on this newly vacated injury market. According to Zap2It.com, USA Network has greenlit a new show entitled ‘Dr. Steve-O.’ The weekly show will air immediately after another Mack favorite ‘WWE Monday Night Raw.’ The program will follow Steve-O as he travels across the country in a desperate attempt to “de-wussify” American men. This whole premise just has Emmy written all over it.

The Dr.’s office is set to open October 1st, and I, for one, cannot wait. I love witty word plays and intriguing dialogue just as much as the next journalist, but there’s just something special about watching some schmuck snort live ants while praying to God his wife never finds out.
