Summer TV Preview: Psych

Shawn Spencer isn’t a psychic but he does a pretty good job of pretending to be one. This often works to his advantage when he’s trying to solve a case on the USA comedy series, ‘Psych.’ The series, which premiered last summer, is returning in July for another season.

‘Psych’ centers on Shawn, a guy who was raised by a detective and trained from a very young age to observe things extremely closely. His observation skills have given him the ability to see what’s plainly in front of him and draw fairly accurate conclusions, leading people to believe he’s a psychic. He used to do it for fun but it became a job when he managed to convince the local police department that he’s blessed with second sight. He works alongside his friend Gus as a private detective, solving crimes and having some laughs.

‘Psych’ is very entertaining and definitely the kind of show you can jump into mid-series.

Season 2 of ‘Psych’ will premiere on USA Friday, July 13 at 10 p.m.
