‘The O.C’. is back and more superficial than ever. For any of you who live under a rock, that stands for Orange County, which is a place in California. Thursday, November 2 was the fourth season premier for the teen drama. The question on all minds: Can the show go on without Marissa? The question on smarter minds: How is this show in its fourth season?
Ridiculousness aside, Marissa had been played by Mischa Barton for the first three seasons of the show and apparently, she was terminated earlier in 2006. Perhaps off to better ventures? Regardless, ‘The O.C.’ presses on with insanely interesting plotlines, witty repartee, and downright attractive people. Throw in underage drinking, drug use, murder, mayhem, and deceit and you have respectable family television.
With guest stars like R&B sensation Chris Brown, the new season is sure to be a huge hit. Did the sarcasm come across there? ‘The O.C.’ airs on Thursdays at 9 PM on FOX, which explains the subject matter.
Tune in next week to see actors in their late twenties play teenagers with nervous breakdowns and anxiety attacks. All that and Ryan seeks revenge! We all need our vices in life. Watching California kids get into troubles only imaginable in TV land is definitely a guilty pleasure. I won’t tell if you don’t.
