TV Top Ten - Week of November 10, 2008

60 Minutes scored major ratings last week to easily top the TV chart. With 25 million viewers it hit a level that few shows ever enjoy. What was at the heart of this incredible turn out? I'll give you a hint. It's the same reason people are willing to pay tens of thousands of dollars to go to a party.

Obama's first post-election-win everything is drawing major attention. The first post-election-win daughter drop-off had the press agaggle. People are super-scalping tickets to his first Presidential party. And now tons of people tuned in to see his first interview since winning.

Football made winners out of ESPN and NBC. ESPN took the top spot among cable channels with Monday Night Football and NBC actually got a spot in the top ten with Sunday night's game. NBC has proven to be the weakest link this season with it's new primetime headlines Knight Rider and Life failing to impress critics or audiences.

NBC isn't the only one struggling. Post-election has knocked the wind out of the news networks. CNN and Fox News aren't pulling any top ten slots these days, replaces with plenty of Nickelodeon's Icarly and USA's WWE Raw.
